Tapper is very rude about tofu. I once heard him say it should be banished. I find that disrespectful as it is my favourite.

Pip, it is truly amazing. It is the most wonderful food of all! You are able to train your human so maybe you can train her to give you some. There may be some in her sofa hoard she has been making.

Pip: No there are just crumbs in the sofa hoard. I don't think I can persuade my human to try anything new like that! I do very much like Yippees though and make a lot of noise crunching those.

Friends, it's Finley
There was a disaster. My home has been struck by an earth quake and hurricane Beryl.
Everything moved and tumbled. My branches were uprooted, my millets blown away, the roof of my house got blown off, my coconut was upsidedown, my bridge and cork sunk and then i was swept away and landed in a large black hole.
I run around frantically squeaking, desperately searching for my hoard and found nothing, not one tiny seed.
I couldn't get out of the big black hole.

Pip here: Oh Finley that is so terrible - did you get your seeds and hoard back? A new one maybe? Are you safe now? I only had that happen once but most of my hoard was safe at the bottom of the cage and I went for a play in a p l a y p e n so I forgot about the earthquak for a bit while I was exploring, and amazingly when I went back to my cage, everything was back together again - like it had all been a bad dream. I know it wasn't a dream though, because a couple of things were in slightly different places.

Finley! I have missed you. I am worried about the hurricane you have had. What is a Beryl? It sounds very dangerous. Are you out of the black hole now?

there's a new boy uptown and he's one of us but he looks different. He has a white face.
I wonder what happened to his face.
Big Nose says that she's rented a mobile home like mine for him in Savic Row. She says that he can't move in until he's grown bigger. And that she's trying to get him to grow.
How's she going to do that? Is she going to water him like her plants?
He's living in a bin. How can he live in the bathroom bin?
Finley!! Big Nose doesn't know how old the new boy is so she can't proof that you are the oldest. Consider yourself young unless proven old.

Im so happy you are safe Finley. Wow, your human does not know how to get her own seeds so she stole yours! I thought humans learned how to do that but it seems Big Nose does not know how.

Disaster! Disaster! My cage is messy! Busy Body put some flax sprays in my cage but she must have dropped a bunch and did not notice they were not put neatly the way I like. I was so upset and would not touch them. I avoided that part of the cage in protest. I am very unhappy.

Thank you Pip. It has been fixed now but I am still unhappy and will need plenty of treats to make up for this.

That is a good idea Pip. I think I will come out for a shorter time tonight. That always makes Busy Body worry. Heh heh.

Hello friends. I have had such a terrible day. I was in one of my burrows when I heard Busy Body talking. Then everything in my home started moving about. I realised all my things were being taken away! I did not know what to do so I hid hoping Busy Body would not know I was there. Suddenly all my lovely soft bedding was being removed. I tried to tunnel to the other side but I was spotted and Tapper scooped me up and put me in a prison. I tried to climb out but Busy Body and Taper put their horrible big hands in the way. Then they started trying to hold me! I was scared as I remembered all the stories of Big Nose using nails for spells and Busy Body looked at all of my nails and even my tummy. I could not escape. Then I was locked in the prison while Tapper kept talking to me. I do not know why. After a long time I was allowed back into my home. I ran about making sure my precious wheels were still there and luckily they were. Later on I remembered I had not checked if all my hides were there so I came out but Tapper saw me and came over so I ran and hid. I will make sure to never let myself be seen. I have truly had a horrible day.

Pip here: Sorry to hear that Orko - we have all been through it - I think it’s called the big in speck shun. They want to poke about at us and test things work on us. As if we were machines! I have got used to it now. I don’t like it but I know I will get special treats afterwards so I put up with it for a few minutes - then I wriggle free and go for a run on the car pet. Which is nice and soft but not very good for digging.
