Good news ! The swelling has gone down a lot , I am so pleased . She is still hiding quite a lot , I took her out for a free roam but she just stayed in a corner . I left the hamster omelette out for her during the night and it had gone this am and she is drinking ok …hoping she gets back to normal soon ! We miss her pottering around … thanks for all of your help!

That is good news Maybe gas?! It could have been a digestive thing. You could maybe give her a probiotic to help her digestion. Dr S is supposed to be a good one. One of our longer standing members recommended it. It contains the probiotics plus some vitamins - better added to food than water really because if water tastes different, they sometimes won't drink it. So maybe dropped on something like porridge?

Thank you Maz. Biscuit seems a bit more herself , I gave her a mite treatment a few days ago as last time she had suspected mites she was not very energetic. she has been coming out of her nest more since and relaxing in her beloved mushroom!! She will come out and pouch her veg when I am holding her and take treats from my hand but she seems very skittish , I not sure why ! Hoping she feels more relaxed soon .

Maybe she's still adjusting after the vet visit or the mite treatment. They don't like change much

yes, she has been better since the mite treatment as she wasn't really herself before the vet visit.. I am just pleased she is becoming a bit more active again..
