Hi, I’m new, and only discovered this forum today! *wave* My wife and I had gerbils for many decades, but almost a year ago we acquired Chan, and he’s such a sweetie (hybrid Campbell’s/Winter White.) He asks for uppies and will climb on us (his favourite treat is freeze-dried chicken.)

In February, we rescued two senior gerbils (Peter and Earl), and two weeks ago, added three more hamsters (a Syrian - Dust Bunny, and two Robos - Peanut and Jellybean.) Our living room is crowded with enclosures, but we love it!

Hello! What a lovely lot of photos and pets! They all look adorable. I'm still trying to work out which hamster is which! The first one must be Chan. Not sure which is Peanut and which is Jellybean and Dust Bunny is the Syrian - and they're all gorgeous!

Dust Bunny the Syrian seems to have lovely long hair :-) I don't think I've seen a long haired Sable before. All the hamsters look really happy so you must be doing something right! So are they all rescues?

What a lovely hamster family. They are all in great condition and very happy hammies. Dust Bunny is magnificent 🥰

Some of us have a thread for our hamster - like a kind of diary thread for each hamster, to update with photos and what they've been up to. Maybe you'd like to start one each for your hammies :-)

The hamster's threads are under the species sections so Dust Bunny's thread would be in the Syrian section, Peanut and Jellybean would be in the Roborovski section and Chan in the Russian Dwarf hamster section :-) It's really nice to follow peoples' hamster threads about each hamster.

Yes, sorry! I’m still figuring out how posting works. 😅 Chan was the first, the Syrian is Dust Bunny, Jellybean is the mostly-white, and Peanut is the one near the water bowl (it’s bigger than he is!)

Thank you, I’ll be sure to do that. 👍

Actually, only my gerbils (not pictured, because this is a hamster place) are rescues. We are terrible for impulse-buying, but once we have done, we’re obsessed with taking the best care of our pets. This is our living room - I couldn’t squeeze everything in the shot.

Now that is a hamster lover's paradise! And I thought my living room was full of hamster stuff ha ha! I only have two cages but also a shelf full of hamster stuff, a wardrobe full of hamster stuff and an ottoman full of hamster stuff (and a freezer full of hamster stuff) 😂

It takes over, doesn’t it? Our kitchen has a huge bin with pet stuff, and all the bedding packs have filled up an unused shower. We live in a mini-home, ha ha.

Oh your sitting room looks wonderful. Don't think my dog would leave low cages alone so Kulfi lives in my bedroom on a chest of drawers!
