Sprite: I had a peaflake this morning from one human and two mealworms from another plus a home grown basil leaf. So yes, I am not getting enough treats for my liking.

Big stretch indeed - Sprite nearly doubled his usual length!

Getting ready for action there! Big stretch & he’s off!

I always find it amazing how far hamsters can stretch.
That was a very long stretch Sprite

I decided to search Sprite's cage to find any wet bedding. I put him in his playpen and my partner supervised him. It took me an hour to take everything out and hunt through the bedding and I found, clean little Sprite only toilets in his sand! Poor Sprite was not happy being in his playpen for an hour and he actually managed to escape. Luckily my partner was watching him and he quickly caught him.

I feel pretty bad to uproot all Sprites lovely tunnels but at least I now know all I have to do is carry on sieving his sand and I can leave his bedding untouched.

I wouldn’t feel too bad about it, it has to be done from time to time, at least you know for now at least he’s only using the sand. I find Russians do mostly tend to use the sand & not anywhere else.
