Sleep tight my little Teddy 😔

My darling little Teddy crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night. I went to check on him, change his water and food and usually he comes running out of his bed to see me. I lifted his bed up and there he was. He looks so peaceful.
I bought Teddy to heal the hearts of my children and myself after our beloved rabbit Cherry passed 2 years ago and left a big hole in our lives. He did just that. He was a sweet little thing. Also very clever and cheeky. I will miss him dearly. I feel very sad right now. My baby boy Teddy I hope you rest in peace and go and find Cherry over the bridge. You will be in my heart forever. ❤️

I am so sorry to hear Teddy has passed away. Adorable photos of him and it's so hard when they leave us. It must have been a shock to find he had passed. He looked so content and well cared for and was lucky to have you and your family to love him and give him a caring home for the past two years. He will be playing free over the Rainbow Bridge now, free from pain x

Big hugs to you - it is so hard. It can help once you've had some kind of memorial or burial for them. But they do leave a big hole in our hearts. 🫂

I'm so sorry to hear this. Teddy looks so happy in the photos, you gave him a good life.

He was very well loved. A very spoilt hamster. He had his own big playpen with his own hamster park. He was the sweetest hamster ever. He loved cuddles. He was the light through a hard time in our lives and now we have to grieve him. He was almost 2 so it was definitely old age. I'm glad he passed snuggled up in his bed. I have no doubt he went peacefully. I will never forget him and I will always love him ❤️

Thank you for your kind messages.

It's wonderful he had such a great life with you and was well loved. We really do have so much to thank them for when they give so much joy and comfort x. The grieving can be so hard. For me - I find it helps to have another hamster to love and care for - they will never replace the one who has gone, but they are all different, with different personalities, and I find the grief is less hard when you don't lose that part of your life that is being a hamster Mum - with the care routine. Also a new baby hamster can make you laugh and needs you and so many need good homes :) There are so many dwarf hamsters in rescues. Some people like to get another one straight away, some people wait for a while. It's one reason I keep two hamsters - if one passes, the other one still needs me and is a comfort. You still grieve of course but it feels slightly less devastating ❤️

His pictures are adorable, little bright eyed hammy! He clearly had the best of lives. These little rodents are so intelligent and have such a capacity for love ❤️ Play well at the rainbow Bridge Cherry and little Teddy 🌈

The pain we feel is the price of of loveing so much the pain will fade the love and memories will not. 🫂

Rest in peace Teddy. He certainly made a lovely impression on all of you by the sounds of things.

So sorry for your loss, they may be small but they leave huge holes in our hearts when they run across the bridge 💔 sending hugs x
