I have a Blink camera and an adhesive mount for it that I want to setup in my Bucatstate, but can’t decide whether it is best to mount it on the side acrylic panel or the metal roof🤔

It means you see the whole cage from the outside at a distance, but you can enlarge the view on your phone. I think some people have rigged up a way to attach it to the enclosure, pointing downwards inside - I'm not sure if that would only cover certain areas of the enclosure inside though.

By the way, I really love the stand you have for the Bucatstate :-) It's very stylish and a nice height.

Thank you!! It’s a coffee table I found on Amazon and it fits perfectly. That’s a good idea to put the camera outside of the enclosure, I’m just not sure if my setup will work for that🤔 I’ll have to do some thinking. Can I see your setup, if you don’t mind?

I can show you one of the videos. It is difficult to find the right place to put the camera. On the first video I actually had the camera on a tripod closer to the cage (it's in a corner) which didn't look great! Currently I have it on a shelf a bit further away which is ok but not as close.

This is when it was on the tripod maybe 1.5 to 2 feet in front of the cage. Which makes the image a bit fisheye and doesn't show the entire cage

Another one of when it was on the tripod at a different angle so less fish eye but still doesn't show the entire interior well

I don't have any from the current position as haven't done any nightcam videos for a while. It just looks further away and includes the entire cage but obviously it's mainly the front you can see.

Most people wouldn't want a tripod in front of the cage I think! I'm not sure how others do it.

Awww cuties!! Thanks for your help! I’ll probably have to end up mounting it in the cage, just with where the cage is positioned. Would it be better to mount it on the acrylic side panel or the metal roof, or does it matter? Just whatever gets the best view? The camera I have has a cord as well.
