Sorry for the photo dump! Shelby is finally in her new (hopefully unchewable) digs! The comments on here were invaluable in terms of how to set up a 3.0 enclosure so thanks for that! It’s by no means perfect but she’s in (as of last night) and adjustments can be made as and when like with all enclosures. I have a couple of videos but am not nearly tech savvy enough to be able to turn them into URLs to upload. I didn’t realise they wouldn’t just upload like a picture. A couple of things I was saying in the video were:

1. It really isn’t big enough - haha! Still looks so cluttered and don’t have all her stuff in so will rotate enrichment toys etc. It looked huge empty but is very easy to fill!
2. I really wanted at least 9 inches of bedding yet despite 3 bags of substrate (including a 70l Bucatstate and 50l Carefresh, it still probably needed a 4th bag. It’s prob 6inches on average at the moment but she’s been moving it around so it’s now higher and lower in certain places. It would be a pain to remove top layer of stuff to add extra but I can see myself doing it as I want to make the most of the depth! As it stands, she has been underground constantly and I’ve compacted it where I can so she can burrow. Only thing is she is unfindable, haha!
3. The large platforms on Amazon were 7inches where I really would have liked 9inches for them as well. First one I ordered was too small (front left) but I used it anyway thinking it would do for now and she’s actually liking it as it’s giving her access to underneath her house platform where I have hidden one of her large tunnels. It probably looks chaotic but I did spend hours on it I swear!
4. This really is the mansion of hamster cages - so glad we invested as she will be so happy in here!

It looks amazing! And she looks SO happy in those photos. I bet she's loving it. I wouldn't worry about the bedding just now. I'd leave it until it's due a 1/3 cage clean and you can take things out and add more then. Maybe skim off the top layer of bedding and keep to one side, add the new, then put the top layer back so it smells familiar. And pop everything back on - but honestly I would wait a couple of months :-) Until you need to clean a third end of the cage.

That’s a good idea, thanks! She has enough and is burrowing lots, I jst think deeper the better when the space is available! X
