Lucky hamsters! Mine are rotating between cucumber and raw broccoli at the moment. And occasionally a blueberry. Raffy goes bonkers for all of them but especially the blueberry. He visibly shakes with excitement :)

A tiny piece of fresh banana is a prized possession here at the moment.
Must go before Rodney eats the armchair.

I find that with the Syrians when they get very excited, they vibrate.

How cute Scottie loves cucumber so much. It is so nice he is up early so you could see him take the cucumber.

Aw he looks so sweet there. Clearly enjoying his dinner. Unlike Pip who has been a bit awol since I moved the clothes dryer near his cage! He really doesn't like change.

I just trimmed a couple of Scottie's nails that were curving a bit.
Glad i wore the gardening glove because he got mad, squeaked and bit it several times.
He calmed down eventually and let me stroke his head but he wasn't happy.
He's back in his cage now eating sunflower seeds.

Well done! I can see he is not happy by his expression. I am sure the sunflower seeds helped make it up for him.

Aw well done. I'm sure Scottie had some nice treats afterwards.

Glad we are friends again. Scottie just made a noise by pushing things on a shelf about to let me know that he wants his treats. His favourite place to sit and eat them is in this tube.

Scottie is not one to hold a grudge. :) He is so clever to make a noise to let you know he wants his treats.

The vibrating can be strange - I’ve known Syrians do it at different times - sometimes after a surprise and not sure if they’re angry or it’s a reaction to shock as well. But yes they do it when happy sometimes as well. The first time I saw it, it scared me a bit and was quite loud! I think that was the intention. To tell me to back off!

Scottie is very good at training you to bring him sunflower seeds.

Scottie was up most of the afternoon yesterday running around and wheeling.

Ok, i took two of his tubes out for cleaning and replaced them with fresh ones which he wasn't happy about.

He kept running up the ramp to his door trying to stop me and didn't run away to hide like a Robo is supposed to do.
Oh no, not this one.

Soon as the two fresh tubes were in place he was running through them and then stayed up to run on his wheel for another couple of hours or so.

He has always been very protective of his favoured belongings which is the reason i have doubled up on the wheel, tubes and a ceramic hide he likes to sit in.

Aww Scottie is so cute. I love his personality. He is so brave defending his home.

Scottie was waiting for his fresh food tonight and came rushing out when he heard me opening his door.
