It looks brilliant. It has a granite tile underneath so will not be knocked over and the water cannot spoil any platform as the tile is underneath.

It looks very nice and ideal for a tank style (I just have the bottle attached to the bars and one of their granite tiles on a shelf underneath the bottle). The only thing is - I wonder if it's height adjustable - because it would need to be different heights for Syrians and dwarf hamsters and looks a bit low for a Syrian.

Oh yes, it does look low for Syrians. It says 4.5cm high.

Either Rodipet or Getzoo used to have a similar one (but without the granite) which came in two different heights. It seems strange it's only the one height.

Yet they say it is for Syrians and dwarfies. It is almost like they think a dwarf hamster can stretch up and a Syrian can be comfortable and not need to stretch.

I wondered about that too, I have the old Rodipet one & I’m sure there were two sizes, I’m not that keen on water bottle holders as every ham has it’s own comfortable height for drinking but the old ones were ok for dwarf hams.

I think it is easier if they like to use water bowls but not all hamsters like them.

It’s a shame no ones thought of making an adjustable height water bottle holder, it wouldn’t be difficult but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one.

I know Rodipet is a good and popular brand but sometimes i can't figure out their reasoning. Like this bottle stand and their Heurika wheel for example. It leaves the question of which species of hamster these goods are aimed at. A dwarf hamster presumably but why picture a Syrian.

That is an interesting point. Do you not like the Heruika wheel? I have never used it.

I've never used it and wouldn't ever consider buying it because i don't like or understand the reasoning behind the design.

I can see your point. The tilted design does seem odd.

I agree for all the good stuff there is some weird stuff too, I’ve seen a video of a ham running on that wheel & it doesn’t look comfortable or particularly suitable.

There is a youtuber called Cosmic hamsters who really liked this wheel but her latest hamster did not get on with it so she had to get a different wheel.
