Red squirrels in Cumbria

Just watched a programme about it on BBC4 tonight - really lovely programme - did anyone rise see it. A lady cared for one from being a baby and he seemed quite hamster-like at times - loved in her house, progressed to a large purpose built meshed area outside and then was set into the wild. And some amazing photography of red squirrels.

They have red squirrels in the Isle of Wight too, but I didn’t spot on while I was on holiday there this summer.

It did make me think of him a bit . And hamsters generally.
