Raffy (Syrian Hamster)

Yes I haven't updated much on him recently - every night is the same - he is king of the living room - scampers around everywhere, gets into things and occasionally has a go at pushing the room divider over. In between coming back to the coffee table area and running on his wheel or saucer. We did have a little cuddle the other night which was nice. I tried to take some photos last night but it was a bit dark and he moves fast so most of them were just a blur! But this is him just before he came out. He sat in his treat put initially, snacking, then saw me and came to the front of the cage to come out.

He was too fast for me to catch him doing things to the paper wrapping so just his disappearing backside is visible

I love the last picture of Raffy looking like he is running away from opening your parcel. So cute!

He had been rummaging about in it but while I was getting the phone set to take a photo, he skedaddled! I think I just missed the moment - he'd done his rummaging and was off!

Yes he does look appealing on that second photo Is it my time to come out?!! He is so perky and active all the time I can't believe he is over 2 years old!

The struggle is real, I know how that goes. But sometimes it is just so worth it once in a while.

Raffy doesn’t seem to have clicked there is another hamster yet. Or if he has he’s not bothered. Last night he knew something was going on as was fussing around the area where I was setting the cage up. Tonight he just decided to chase the Hoover. I think he really wants to make friends with the Hoover but it keeps moving away

Raffy is so curious and he is quite sweet in his reactions to things.

Ha, ha, he’s very brave to chase the hoover! He always looks such a happy chap, very handsome in the second photo. It’s lovely he enjoys his out of cage time so much.
