Raffy (Syrian Hamster)

It's flour and water glue. I had it a bit too runny this time though as not many seeds stuck to it! Mind you that shape was difficult to dip in seeds so the seeds maybe weren't going to stay on very well while vertical!

Thanks all - yes he's so energetic isn't he? By my reckoning he is about 22 months old now and his fur is still lovely.
That's awesome, what a great idea!

I think it was Rainbow first did it on the cardboard creations thread :)

Hurray - Raffy is out. He has been awol for two nights now. I waited till midnight the last two nights then went to bed. It’s still quite late at 11.25pm.

It’s been a busy evening - I’ve only just got Molly put back in the cage.

He's still enjoying that egg box and chewing at the remaining seeds :-)

Great to see the distinguished gentleman out and about! Any reactions to Molly's presence?

Thanks ilguy :-) Well he's trying hard to be the distinguished gentleman :-) But he still has some teenage behaviours occasionally! He doesn't seem to have noticed Molly at all! But he was curious about the appearance of Molly's playbin on the floor and looked interested, sniffing that.

Raffy has never been one for sitting still or being handled but last night he sat for a good few minutes for a stroke and a cuddle and seemed to like having his ears stroked. Maybe he is mellowing now he’s getting older. His fur is so lovely and soft and silky.

Great video of Raffy, lovely that he’s really enjoyed his seed treat and so nice to hear you have enjoyed some special time tog having a cuddle and ear stroke 😊

Raffy heard a noise in the kitchen

Aww, he's doing such a good investigation!

He’s gorgeous……..what can you hear Raffy?

He could hear someone clanking plates and opening the fridge in the kitchen .... after OH had gone to bed - so he knew there was someone else staying.

What a cutie! I need to try filling an egg carton as a boredom breaker some time.
