I suspect that my 21-month-old Russian dwarf hamster, Ukkie, might have diabetes. He drinks an enormous amount; a 75ml water bottle is almost empty in 3 days. As a result, he also urinates a lot. Otherwise, he maintains his weight and is active; I don't notice any abnormalities.

His diet consists of Bunny Expert for dwarf hamsters, mixed with Little One and some Beaphar Care+ pellets for dwarf hamsters.
Is there anything I can do for him?

Hi. I can't believe Ukkie is 21 months already :-) It is fairly common for hamsters to drink and pee more as they get older and their kidneys don't function as well, whether it's diabetes or not. So it might not be diabetes. One way to tell would be do a urine test. You can get ketodiastix at a pharmacy - it just dips in the urine and tells you the sugar levels etc (also ketones, protein, blood and more usually).
