I know they're adorable. It's from moony paw.The mystery box looks amazing! I love the cute hamster stickers too.![]()
Yes I won't give the coconut too often.Having said coconut is fine - it is fine for Syrians and robos. For a diabetic prone species like a hybrid dwarf, an occasional tiny bit in moderation would probably be ok. According to google it's low sugar but high fat and suitable for diabetic humans in moderation.
I'll wait to see what other views are on that one![]()
Well pudding ate her piece (she eats everything apart from fresh vegetables). But Sydney didn't like his at all it was left in the dish.I've never given any of my Hamsters coconut before. Excited to try.
She is going to be a handful I think. Lol.That sounds so typically male Syrian to me! They get jealous if anyone else gets attention. I used to have the same thing with Raffy. I'd see him glaring at me if I was talking to our other hamster. And looking kind of panicky and like a jilted toy soldier
It's lovely pudding walked on your hands - she sounds like she's going to be quite a character.
Yes it was her previous owner who said she was 3. It's a rescue for a different species of animal, my friend runs it and doesn't know much about hamsters she just knows a lot about this other species of animal. We did guess she wasn't 3 when we saw her, but have no idea of her actual age. That was very brave of you to take on a 3 year old dwarf hamster, knowing she may not have long. But yes it does sound like the person at the rescue maybe doesn't understand hamster ages!
Yes it's so hard to know their ages when they're rescues. I must not have said about puddings age before because I didn't actually believe she was 3. She's probably about a year and a half or something. How lovely that Pudding jumped onto your hand like that, she really is settling in well, it sounds as though she’s been enjoying her new cage too.
I must have missed the bit about her supposedly being three, she looks quite young in the first photos you posted but I guess with most rescues it’s difficult to know how old they are.
