I have company this evening. A premature lamb near the heater. He was born a bit early and couldn't stand up to feed so was very weak and has to be tube fed until his legs are stronger. If they don't stand up to feed from the Mother straight away after birth they can't retain heat so he needs to be kept warm. He was very floppy and knocked off when he came in this evening. But is now coming round a bit in his cosy bin with a hot water bottle and has had a go at standing up a couple of times and bleated a couple of times so he seems to be doing ok.
Meanwhile Raffy is free roaming and hasn't shown the slightest bit of interest in the bin or the lamb. I've had hamsters and lambs in the same room before and the hamsters don't seem bothered by it. The lamb is also self contained in the box.
He is black and white and it's dim lighiting so it's hard to see his eyes and nose
The two small white marks on top of his head in front of his ears are his mini horns, not yet grown.
