Pip the Robo

His little legs go so fast! He looks confident out his cage. He is so adorable.

After lots of playing I saved the health check for the end. Let him walk into the taming box so I could pick him up easily. He walked over my hand a few times then picked him up to have a good look at his underside. And check everything else. He was ok with that as I didn't hold him that long but then turned him over to stroke his back and he'd clearly had enough then and squeaked. It sounded like a cross squeak! So popped him back in the playpen.

I am relieved all seems fine as I found a lump underneath our last robo when he was about 18 months old.

Here he is just chilling and nomming some seeds and he had a good chew inside the hay house as well.

So good to hear Pip's health check went well. Hasnt he got the cutest ears?

Final flying saucer video - after plenty of practice he was really enjoying it and doing the odd clever thing

It is so nice to see cute little Pip clearly. He is adorable.

By the way, sorry for commenting after every post. I could not help it.

I love the way he spins in the middle of the saucer confidently. Forgot to turn audio off so unfortunately you have me squawking as well.

It is nice to hear the way you talk to him. :)

Ha ha yes I noticed his ears as well. I've never noticed them being prominent before :) Did you seem him on that wheel?! It's a bit slithery but he enjoyed it. I think I need another 9" wheel for the playpen.

You can't really tell from the pictures but he really is still very small! Much smaller than my last robo. It was a kind of moment and relief that his health check was fine. I will never forget that moment finding the lump on Nugget around this age and just when he was getting used to being held.

Did you weigh him? He looks really healthy and well.

Ha forgot to do that! He has always been teeny tiny but looks healthy enough :-) I'll weigh him next time he's out. If it's anything like after his last playpen time he'll be keen to come out again - and then disappear for ages lol.

Pip is definitely bigger and chunkier than when he arrives (when he was so small and thin I was convinced he actually wasn't a hamster!). But still small (but in proportion) for a Robo.

Hello Pip! Lovely to see you enjoying yourself there.
That was so funny him not wanting you to see he’d got the saucer sussed!
He looks so cute in the big wheel, he did really well in that!
Really glad the health check was fine too, he certainly looks very healthy.

Very good news all round about Pip. Lovely to see so much of him out and about enjoying everything.
Health check must be a big relief too.

Is this the medium Fly'n'Saucer that Pets At Home sell?

I gave the hamsters their Easter treats last night, even though it's not Easter Sunday yet. Well - this is the most activity I have ever seen from Pip! It went down a storm, but not only that he had me in fits of laughter! Wait to see what happens in attempt number one. :-)
