The playpen hasn't got much in due to the fact he jumped on the wheel and I didn't want him to be distracted from it

I'm fortunate that he doesn't only come out in the night

My Russian hams were all day active too, it’s nice not to have to wait up for them.

Yes it's taken a while for him to establish a daytime routine but he now asks to come out usually just as I sit down with my lunch 🥴

On the video Pete on the wheel you will notice he gets off and goes around the back of it this is exactly where the zipped door section is and he was checking to see if I had opened it for him thing is I need the equivalent of the Berlin Wall too keep him in the safe area he love his free roaming time but he constantly susses out the weak spots I need a 9ft run at least 1 foot high and it has to fold to fit under the sofa when not in use currently I've made one out of cardboard but it's a bit bendy and needs heavy items strategically placed to hold it in situ when Pete fails to climb it he bounces on his back legs contemplating a high jump does anyone have ideas

I think anything that folds flat is going to have it’s weak spots really especially if you want something really big as it would have to have quite a few sections.
I made one using sheets of corex cut to size, a hole in each corner with a cable tie joining them, it stands up ok & folds well but it can be pushed over or under without too much effort.
I also made one something like this but I just bought a pack of panels & made it to the size I wanted, don’t have the link for those any more but there are tiny gaps at the base, not big enough to escape through but possibly push under & up.
I think some kind of interlocking wood panels would probably be about the only thing that would work but not sure if you can buy anything like that & it would be a fair bit of DIY to make one. You could probably join two wooden ones together but that would be really expensive.

Thank you yes any kind of wood is expensive now experimenting with cortex panels sound feasible better than cardboard anyway he is so clever and remembers where he "almost made a break for it" I have to be one thought/move ahead of him all the time.😏
