Actually watching that video back maybe it will be easier for Pete to get out if I fill to top but he seems to prefer to play and interact than tunnel even in his cage he mostly scampers around the edge's he has got a deep section it's his choice

You could put a bendy bridge over the edge so he can get out, not that he wanted to when you offered your hand. He was having way too much fun in there.

The bendy bridge is a good idea he got in by himself using the wooden steps/platform but as he can't see it once he's in there I usually offer my hand if he seems ready to leave the box obviously he wasn't ready that time I'm always sat watching him though one eye on TV other on Petes antics he's not into zooming off anywhere without much warning
