He is starting to feel better in my hand when i pick him up. Not so lightweight and bony, more like a proper hamster.
Excellent! I am sure he will fill out more as well :)

Look at his full cheek pouch! I love the way he is closing his eyes in sheer bliss.
Yes it's cute when they do that :-) I think it's partly a hamstery instinct as well to protect their eyes when demolishing things! They do that with hay and spiky things too - they're quite clever like that - protecting their eyes.

Otto up for a quick lunchtime pouch. I can hear him snacking in his nest now.

So adorable! I have to try one of those with our new ham. We had one in Wally's cage but he appeared to ignore it.

They ignore most nibble sticks. The only one they like is this one.

I get those as well although haven’t seen the grape and nut version before. Hamsters definitely like them.

The boys only like the grape and nut. They ignore the others.

I buy them at The Range or Jolleys.

That's a shame. Most of the Vitakraft ones do unfortunately. I also used to get the Rosewood ones which were healthy and no sugar. Our Syrians would eat them if there were no other chew sticks available! I can't remember which ones the hamsters preferred. I think it was this one

Thank you. They look good. I'm going to get my son to order some.

I only give them to the Syrians because of the fruit.
Rosewood used to make small cheesy nibble sticks i gave to the dwarfs but they're discontinued which is a real shame.

Yes they were great. Especially for Robos. I did track some down a while back but haven't seen any since.

It seems they have some new ones now. Some mini sticks (very berry) which unfortunately not good for dwarfs as they have fruit again.

And also these mini sticks. Mini flower, fruit and veg sticks. Oat based. It seems only one of them has fruit (the apple one).

Two of those look the same as the larger carrot one and cornflower one actually.

The mini very berry ones came out when the cheesy ones were discontinued. The Robos have them.
Can't find the shrimp cookies either only the papaya and peanut cookies. Jolleys used to sell the shrimp cookies. I may have to order them online but will check the new Jolleys that's opening here soon first.
The choice is a bit limited for dwarfs. Our hamsters don't like the herby nibble sticks or the rice ones.

I ordered the shrimp cookies a while ago and only saw them on ebay. Maybe they are being discontinued.
