Aww, he looks so happy! I love his coco fibre digging area. It is so enriching.

His little face peeking out. Did you see him on the advent calendar? :)

Strange question, but does anyone know what those pokey things are called that cheese makers poke in to cheese, and they give it a twist then pull it out with a long thin sample of cheese?
Reason I'm asking is because I think it could perhaps be good for testing Norbert's compressed digging 'dirt/substrate'. (Not when he's in it of course 🤣)
I can drag out samples from his now established tunnels with a long teaspoon, and continue with the frequent sniff tests, but I'd still feel better with a skewer type test to keep an eye on his deep digging substrate.

Hmm, could it be a cheese corkscrew. I have never used one.

I just found out. They are called cheese trier. They are very expensive though. My partner said it would be difficult to get the soil sample using this as the soil is not compact. He suggested you use a plastic tube similar to the ones he gets his electrolyte tablets in. Lol.

That's my soluble Vit C tablets getting stored in a mug then 🤣 Neat idea Mr Partner 👍🙂
