Hii my hamsters brand new sprays have come in and it’s quite a lot of variety (he’s never had sprays he can actually eat) and of course I know you’re typically supposed to freeze them for maybe a week? I was wondering if I could do 2 days because he currently doesn’t have any luckily I haven’t froze a pack of them before but they were different brand/seller and everything.I just want my hammy to have sprays but ofc not bugs either! If 2 days is enough I would love to know!

Hi. I usually freeze them for a week as I'm ultra cautious. On some hamster sites they say 2 days is fine. My research told me that it should be a week to kill moth eggs (I have had pantry moths hatching out in the past!). Whether that is correct or not, I don't know :) It's up to you really, If it was me I'd wait a week. I'm sure your hammy will manage without sprays for a few more days.
