Hello and welcome to the forum. That is a lovely set up for Frankie. I can just spot him there looking like he is nibbling. 😊

Hello & welcome to the forum.

Lots for Frankie to do in there, I can see him too having a munch, he’s a lovely colur.

Look forward to hearing more about him.

Hello and welcome :-) Yes it is a lovely set up :) Sorry to be the one to say this again! At some point you might want to consider raising everything a bit above some deeper bedding, to avoid fall risks from a height. But I can't see the cage fully so maybe you already have a solution in there!

Having said that, you have lots of lovely enrichment and that can keep a hamster happy so they may not be the slightest bit interested in climbing to the top, because they're happy with the way things are :)

Look forward to seeing more of Frankie - I can also see him in the photo :)

Also there is another way round it - I have extra Perspex round the top bars. 7cm deep strips all round the top. The screw on just the same as the bottom perspex. It means the hamster can’t climb right to the top so effectively makes the cage lower. It’s a simple solution but then there’s the cost of the Perspex. I think it cost me about £40 for the top strips all round.

But you have a wonderful and thoughtful set up for Frankie :)

Your cage looks lovely. Frankie has plenty to keep him busy :) I've seen that cactus water bottle holder on Amazon and thought about getting it. Does Frankie fit in the hide part?

Did you make the platform yourself?

Thanks. I don't think frankie goes in the hide part. It seems quite small. I also have another water stand from amazon it is a cheese one and the hole on that one seems a bit bigger. I will put a photo of it for you. I bought the platform from amazon 😊

If you get chance to read through some threads, there are some diy ones and "anything else hamster" ones with info about making platforms and boredom breakers as well :) To save money. There's also a place on ebay that makes wood screw in shelves to the size you want and they're not too expensive - although probably about the same price as Amazon. :) In case you need something else in future. I also love the cactus water bottle holder.

Great set up for Frankie, lots to keep him busy. He looks a gorgeous colour, look forward to hearing more about him. I really like the cheese water stand 👍😄
