My birds

Besides my hamster, I also have two budgies(parakeets). I thought I would introduce them

The mostly green one is named Pufkafa and the mostly yellow one is named Limoş. They are both males, but they still kiss and regurgitate into each others' mouths. Also, ignore the poop. Birds are very messy and they poop everywhere.


Pufkafa is kind of fat even though he flies all day.

Thank you. Pufkafa says "cici kuş"(pretty bird) sometimes. He used to say a lot more, but ever since I bought Limoş he started just chirping. Limoş doesn't say a peep. They prefer chirping together.

They are lovely They look so sweet with one being bigger than the other somehow. Like Laurel and Hardy - best of friends and different sizes! My Grandmother always had budgies - I think she did teach them to talk and they might have said the odd thing, but I don't remember ever hearing it as a child. It was a bit of a sad story in a way. Every time she had a budgie, it didnt live very long. So she'd get another one. After a few budgies, when the last one died she was so upset she had an autopsy done. It was lead poisoning. She lived in a 1920's house with very nice diamond pane windows - the "diamond" frames were leaded. And because the birds were allowed out to fly around they used to sit there pecking at it. The last one I remember well (it swooped at my head sometimes as a child ha ha) but was very friendly. It lived the longest but when that one died and she had the autopsy she didn't have any more. Makes sense as there was no plan to move house.
