Today my hamster cam will be arriving, they have very good offers on Amazon i payed 13 euros (today it’s on offer for 16). My workmate recommended it.
I just want to check on him and the temperature when we have the next heatwave.
On the weekend I will take the playpen into the living room to get him used to being there, so that he won’t be in the same room when I swap the cages.
He will also be allowed a free roam in the living room as it’s hamster safe. I was a bit concerned he may pee on the carpet, I know he will love the shaggy carpet, but a bit of hamster pee won’t ruin it
He’s has been very nosey about this room for a long time, that will be a special treat.
If he’s allowed a free roam, he will be happier there in his playpen as he will have scent marked the whole place in five minutes.
I will set up the playpen so he can venture in and out whilst I sit on the carpet hamster sitting. Video will be uploaded

I don’t really need one when insm at home, I see him all the time he sleeps next to the plexiglass panel so he can control me but at work it will be nice to check on him

He does he is cute, but very stubborn. He has a strong mindset
He loves my little Syrian friend (a former neighbour who I took under my motherly wing ) and he is tall with a dark voice, but when he occasionally comes round for a coffee, Nibbles comes out straight away. My. German friend Elvira on the other hand, well he doesn’t like her

I forgot to mention that I have not yet baked the cookies. I still have so many in the package and thought it’s best to make fresh ones when they are finished, but I will write the recipe under the recipe blog

Incan recommend the hamster cam, it was so easy to install and looks very sturdy. Nice picture too.
The niteangel carrot toys are adorable just the right size. Hope Nibbles likes them as much as I do

I found the second ball and the second string both of them have been taken out and I put two carrots in the cage to play with.
Nibbles is getting more adventurous he inspected the little TEMU free gift tent ️
He didn’t go inside he climbed on top, I saw his goofy expression and thought: he’s not! When he climbed down I put my finger on it and yes he had! My finger was wet with hamster pee I am not keen on the colour and tiger print of the tent, but it wouldn’t cross my mind to pee on it! poor TEMU, what a cheek!
He’s just destroying the carrot I put in the playpen now.
And I am having second thoughts on my living room carpet, what if he doesn’t like the colour?
The camera has been zooming around filming me cleaning the cage and Nibbles on the wheel, it’s getting frustrated in this household already I don’t know yet how to pause it!

You should see his face when he has a pee he really does look goofy and he stands with his legs far apart

Same ritual every evening, between 6.00 and 7.00 I quietly spot clean the cage, change the water and clean the wheel. As soon as Nibbles hears me he comes up and wants a treat. Sometimes he goes for a pee in his sandbath, not bothered that I am in there cleaning a few stretches later he goes back for a quick nap then about half an hour later he resurfaces of course asking for a treat. He gets a few tiny bits of fruit or veg and then he’s awake.

Aww I love their wee routine it’s so adorable. I love how he is so confident and just uses his sand he must really trust you. My girl has her routine of up after I change her water and scatter feed. She sometimes gets up when she smells something nice when we are having dinner.

Thank you yes he does seem to trust me, he is very confident
I have put a small toilet in his house now, he pees there exclusively it’s nice because his nest is always fresh and of course it’s easier to clean
