A couple of questions...

How many meal worms should I add to Albert's food bowl per day now that he's on Little One Dwarf Hamster mix?

Are raw beansprouts safe for Albert?

Elusive is the sprouts expert :-) With mealworms I think there isn't an exact amount and a hamster will only eat what they want to eat each day. I would go with a variety of protein supplement. Maybe a mealworm a day as an extra and during the week, the occasional piece of nut or bit of egg perhaps. Or freeze dried chicken if you don't have fresh meat extras one week. It's only in the first year of life you need to supplement the protein. When they are building muscel tone. In the second year, the slightly lower protein level is fine.

I would normally give one or two a day, even though they don’t tend to overeat generally some can go a bit mad wih mealworms! I agree with Maz that it’s a good idea to have a bit of variety too if you can.

Personally I wouldn’t give the kind of bean sprouts that you buy in the supermarket to hamsters, they aren’t always as fresh as they should be & can have moulds on them that you wouldn’t see. Not all sprouts are safe.
It’s probably best to stick to home grown sprouts, I did a post on it here if you’d like to see.
