So, I have recently returned to work as a speech and language therapist. I've been in my new job for about a month. I'm just refreshing and updating my skills and getting to grips with new services at the moment, having been out of practice for a number of years. Today, in clinic, the therapist I was working with was talking about MCH...turns out there's a programme called Make Communication Happen, but all I could think of was Multi Chamber Hide lol 😆 She looked at me like I was nuts when I mentioned hamsters 🐹 🤣

It gets you like that ha ha. I remember rabbiting on about hamsters a lot to people and getting strange looks. People would say - those are kids pets. I used to say - no they're not, they're fascinating little creatures and they need lots of space and they can bond with a human.

If you had a hamster with you, people would be spell bound! They are charming little creatures.

Talking about a pet hamster would be a brilliant motivation though as most children relate to them, at least until they need to do the cleaning.
