Loki passed away this morning. I had to have him put to sleep due to a mass on his stomach.

He was a feisty little thing. He was more of a “look at” hamster then one that could be picked up.

He did start being more sweet as time went on and he got used to me.

He is now up in Heaven with his brother, Thor. Rest in peace, Loki!

I am so sorry. You did the right thing taking him to the vet or he could have been suffering for quite a long time. Pain relief for hamsters isn't enough for advanced cancer. And you could see he was struggling. I am so sorry for your loss. He is playing free over the rainbow bridge now - with Thor.

You gave him a happy moment in his last days when he enjoyed exploring his lovely new cage. It is such a hard time when they've gone - big hugs.
