Little One seem to have quite a range of products now - I haven't looked at all the ingredients for each individual product, so some may be better than others. Although I thought the food covered tunnels might be a bit scratchy on the inside! Better to only have food on the outside really! The company that makes them is called mealberry.com.

I was looking at their products recently & quite liked the idea of the tasty maze tunnels, I think seeds inside may be ok but the do include fruit in the ingredients so no good for Russians or Chinese.

Rodipet used to do nice ones with things stuck on the outside. Not that any of my hamsters took much notice of them! Shame they don't do them any more.

I was so excited to give Orko their insect mix and he would not touch them. Not even the mealworms and he loves mealworms.

So you got the Little One insect mix? Or was it another one? Maybe the smell different from a jar than a packet!

The rodipet ones were really good, I used them a lot, they seem to have stopped doing quite a bit of stuff now.

The insect mix has silkworm larvae & crickets in it, both of which really stink so they probably wouldn’t even smell the mealworms!

Yes that's what I bought. I thought it would exciting for him to try different insects.

I usually buy his mealworms from Etsy as he will not eat any others.

I gave him just one mealworm to try but he would not even nibble it.

I think that insects are an acquired taste. No one here has ever liked them. At the moment i don't have any mealworm enthusiasts either.
