There is still a chance she could get some more mobility back with the meds but even if not hopefully she’ll be able to enjoy life comfortably for a good time yet.

Glad to hear her about her visit, hoping she gets at least a little mobility back. I'd imagine just being able to push a bit more with her back legs would do wonders for her. Even so, you're doing all you can and I'm sure she will be able to enjoy life as best she can with you.

Hadn't seen much of Lilly the past few days and was getting worried.
She's a little more active today and was out for a rummage in the dig tray. Bit of hamstering about in her cage as well.
She's not using her wheels and stays mainly on the ground floor burrowing quite a bit which isn't something she used to do much.
Lilly's back legs still aren't working properly but she doesn't appear to be in pain. Saying that, i don't know why she stays underground so much. Could be because she's limited in what she can do. The Metacam hasn't aided a recovery sofar but it may help to keep her comfortable.
It is very sad. I don't think that Lilly is going to get her old life back this time.

It is sad, she was always so full of beans it must be hard to see the difference in her, after all this time it does seem unlikely that she will get the use of her legs back but I do think they adjust quite well to the changes that come with either health issues or old age & she’s maybe burrowing to compensate for being unable to do other things in some way or maybe she just feels more comfortable down in the substrate.
I’m sure the metacam will be keeping her comfortable though.

I am sorry to hear this. It is hard for you to see Lilly more subdued as she is usually so energetic. Like elusive said, the Metacam is going to be helping her feel more comfortable which is a good thing.

Sorry to hear Lilly still isn't back to her old self. She looks beautiful in the photo

Yes. The vet mentioned that as well. She couldn't feel any lumps but Lilly's underside looked quite swollen. It looks like fatty tissue and she had that before the surgery but it got worse. The lump that was removed looked angry like an abscess but wasn't one. I suppose i could have paid another £140 for a biopsy to find out what we are dealing with but it wouldn't have changed the outcome.

Lilly has been in the playground just now and walked around for a bit. She manages to get about but doesn't want to stay out for long. She sat by the bedroom door after a few minutes. She knows fine that her cage is in there so i put her back.

There is a slight improvement and Lilly wanted out again which is more like herself.
I gave her a bit of my scrambled egg which she enjoyed.
