You did and you were right. There's a video on here where i managed to record the racoon noises. She makes them when she scratches her back or rolls in a plastic tube to scratch her back.
I think the video is on the February A week in the life of.....thread.

That is so funny. I looked back and said she sounded like a cat or a raccoon - yet I don’t know what a raccoon sounds like so it must have bern a guess!

Is it like this?

No, not quite but racoon is the closest. It's like this but that's a short sound and she can be a lot more vocal and higher pitched than that.

Sounded a bit like a squeaky toy at first 😂. It’s definitely some kind of animal chirruping noise. Hard to pin down. I guess it’s a hamster noise!

I have only heard squeaks really before. Raffy did do that chirruping noise once when he was a bit anxious about something. I know some hamsters are quite vocal but mine all seem to be silent! Unless scared.

Lilly you are so adorable 😍. Photo in the soft hide is super cute.

Lilly made sure she got there before Eddie

Lilly really is going for it. I don't think there'll be any treats left for Eddie.

Lilly wanted out again, had a roll and wash in the communal sandbath and now she's sleeping in the fluffy hide.

Love that fluffy hide I was thinking of getting one for Pete in the winter months 2 concerns though would he get upset if I removed it in hot weather also will it be OK buried in his favourite corner but under deep substrate I'm sort of thinking it's a bit like I change over winter and summer duvets

I love that Lilly is vocal is this rare for dwarf hamsters I'd love to hear Pete making sounds only happy ones though 😀

I wouldn't put a fluffy or fabric hide inside a cage in case a hamster chews it.

I reserve those for out of cage time. Lilly spends a lot of time out of her cage though and sometimes sleeps in the hide for up to an hour.

I don't know if it's rare but going by my hamsters, the Syrians are the more vocal ones.

Eddie’s going to have to get up very early if he wants any of those treats!

Some of my Russian & Chinese have been very vocal, not all of them though so maybe it’s more of an individual than species thing.

Great front leg digging action with rear leg kicking it all away action Lilly. Bet the pouches were full 🙂

Thank you good point although Pete dosent seem to chew things other than whimsy I'm not going to chance it with a fur hide
