I use kaytee as I have allergies to other types of bedding. I think quite a few people do. Kaytee is nice and soft. My hamster, Blossom likes digging thru it.Hi just adopted Buddy who's 12weeks male Syrian... Im noticing most of you are using paper bedding and may move to that but ive seen spruce used in deep fills vids on YouTube.. and it holds tunnels so well ... so ill see... I have a bale of paper for his actual bed...

Spruce is okay, it just isn't always easy to find so not many people use it. A mix of wood and paper bedding tends to work very well for burrowing.
