Can anybody recommend insects their robos like? Orko does not like grasshoppers or calico worms. He eats mealworms but I would like to give him more variety.

Hmm for some reason my Hamster really likes silkworm (or moth?) cocoons but he is a Syrian so Im not sure if that applies to your Orko..
I also read somewhere that many hammies really like the white part of an coocked egg (mine likes it too) incase you are looking for animal protein stuff in general.

Thank you. I worry he will burry the egg and it will reek! Lol.

Haha I ususally just give like a little peace and eat the rest myself 😅

I think that is the great thing about hamsters who come out. Orko never comes out when I am awake and I worry he will take the piece of egg and store it. :p

I think it's unlikely - Robos tend to just nibble a bit and leave the rest (our first one did that and Pip does too). On the other hand I've seen the videos of Orko running off with a tasty treat and putting it in one of his hides! He will do fine with just mealworms. Rodipet do sell dried crickets if you want to try them (I'm sure other places do as well). I saw a hilarious video of a dwarf hamster shaking a dried cricket to bits and running around with it in its mouth! Our hamsters have always turned their nose up at them and prefer human food!

Do you mean it is unlikely Orko will burry a piece of egg? He actually takes food into his burrows after pouching them.

Aww, the dwarf hamster acted like the cricket was alive!

You maybe won't know - if he does it with tofu it's possible he would do it with egg white.

You can buy a bag of mixed dried insects. Critters something, must go to the pet shop and check what it's called.

Didn't go down too well here so the garden birds ate them.

Thank you. I will give them a try.

It's something like that i bought. A mixture of insects may be the easiest way to find out what Orko likes.
I must get some more to see if one of the Robos likes them. I had different Robos last time i got them.

Oh wow, that does look like a good selection. Hope you find something new that Orko enjoys.

Maybe Orko hasn't had much luck with training Busy Body but he has certainly trained Tapper well 🤣
