I finally got my septum pierced 🤪

Finally got my septum pierced today after wanting it done for a few years

It wasn't really painful, it stung a tiny bit but I'd say 2.5/10, I can't really feel it now unless I touch my nose

Nice I’m only brave enough for ears and even then only the fleshy parts. Would quite like a daith, it may even help the headaches?

What’s a daith? . Thats very brave of you Em - glad it didn’t hurt too much. I did pierce my own ears when I was a student nurse (it was free ). It was fine - but only afterwards did I find there’s a major blood vessel that needs to be avoided.

Wow Maz, that’s brave piercing your own ears!

The diath is the one near your inner ear, lots of migrainers have it done with varying results on the frequency of their migraines after.

I'll just add I didn't have any problems with that - but it was disconcerting to think I could have had! The things we do when young

I've heard it does help with headaches there's a few I would like but simply don't have the correct anatomy for - I would have absolutely loved the industrial but... I have elf ears so not the right shape for it. I'd love my bridge too but I have a very big and bony nose so I'm not sure there would be enough fleshy bit to pierce

I've just googled diath piercing and I can see what you mean now. Although it sounds painful! But I think if I had bad migraines I would be tempted to try. There seems to be disagreement online as to whether it helps or not but I haven't read very widely.
