I came across this protein source

Not sure about freeze dried egg, not that I think it would be bad for them but I have no idea how well it would keep & egg yolk is high in fat so you would want to use that very sparingly, most of the protein in eggs is in the white.
Salmon is fine, I’ve used dried chicken with salmon before & it’s quite healthy for them in moderation.

Thank you for your opinion. I may try and get some of the freeze dried chicken and freeze dried salmon at some point. :)

Hamsters can have meat or fish and freeze dried is one way of giving it. Personally I can’t see the point of freeze dried egg as easy enough to just scramble a bit of egg. I’ve tended o avoid fish in case it smells! If hoarded eg. Mind you some freeze dried treats can go off and smell quite quickly so you’d need to know if they have a use by date.

Personally, i wouldn't buy it and prefer to stick to the Lily's kitchen dog treats i can buy in the shop, check the best before date and read the ingredients list.

Thank you Beryl. Orko is not so keen on the Lilly's kitchen dog treats so I was looking for something else. He just seems to hide them.
