Hello!
I've been a little quiet lately; been busy with work and whatnot. Lol the usual. Little man Chubbs is doing good. He has his little tunnel system that he's burrowed which is pretty cool to see. He LOVES running on his wheel. Like LOVES IT! Anyhow, something kind of occurred to me that I hadn't really considered before but how much exactly am I supposed to feed him daily? He always finishes what's in the dish now that I got him the Hazel mix. But that doesn't mean he's eating it , right? He has little stashes around. What is a good amount? Somewhere I was reading around a tablespoon a day? Thanks!!!

Aww, lovely to see Chubs. I like to scatter feed because it encourages natural behaviour and gets them to forage and look for their food. One tablespoon a day sounds like a good amount to me. :)

Lovely pictures of Chubbs.
For a Syrian a tablespoon a day is about right, enough to eat & stash some in his hoard.

Perfect! Thank you and I will try scattering some around for him!

I do a bit of both :-) I put most of the food in a dish and scatter a bit of it. It might depend on the hamsters. I've had some who leave so much food lying around it gets really messy! Easier to empty the remnants from the food bowl.
