Hot again!

I'm not complaining - I like it - but it does make you lazy! Supposed to rain again next week, which is a shame. I would like it hot for another few months and a shorter winter

Yes! It’s very hot ok if you don’t need to do much, but just walking for 10 minutes between the office and car park in 30 degree heat was enough! Fortunately the office is air conditioned It’s too hot to do much. I prefer it when it’s low 20s as it’s pleasant, but still ok to go out for a walk etc. Also, the garden is really dry and it’s hard to keep everything alive!

It’s 9 pm and I’ve just been outside. You know it’s hot when you go out and think ‘oh it’s cooled down quite a bit’ then find out it’s still 27 degrees!!! Bonkers!

I would sleep downstairs as it’s a bit cooler than upstairs, except Miss B will be up most of the night lol

I've been on frozen bottles and cool pod duty. Socks has a frozen bottle of water wrapped in a sock. The piggies have cool pods, fridge blocks and bottles. By the end of the day it looks like they have had a party in their cages as they are full of bottles. Unfortunately they don't like swimming. The heat is a bit scary. It was 30C in my flat today

Ive been able to keep my house to a cool 26 degrees today Way too hot...probably going to have to stay up til midnight and hope it's cool enough to sleep then!

I also felt like sleeping downstairs. It was pretty unbearable upstairs last night until later on when it got darker and some slightly fresher air came in through the windows (along with bugs). @Socks' Mum - do you have an electric fan? Thst might help.

Downstairs is just right here - it stays cooler. It’s times like this when I feel annoyed at increased building regulations for more roof insulation! It does make it so much hotter upstairs in hot weather!

However it does make me want to go on holiday! And enjoy it rather than the usual routines!

And - bottled water is out of stock everywhere. We need that due to having a spring water supply! So rely on big bottles of water! Back to boiling a kettle and keeping a jug of water in the fridge then!

I did buy a neck fan the other day which is helping

I have a mini hand held fan somewhere - if only I could remember where I put it!

Yes, I bought a 12" fan a month ago, it's on all day and helps. There's a breeze coming through, hopefully the start of a cold front Yes, we will soon need to go in holiday in summer to somewhere nice and cold
