Homemade tube cap covers

I needed some cap covers for Obie's tubes, for when we need to block off access to his playpen overnight. They were £11.80 + £3 postage on ebay, so my husband made one instead! In fact, he made 5. What do you think?

It looks good - I can't quite make out what it's made of - was it just the centre piece he made? ie the outside grey part already there? Assume it isn't cardboard?! That could be chewed through. I would just be a bit cautious that it can't be pushed out or chewed through ............ hamsters are great escape artists.

It's just the centrepiece my husband made and it's made from wood. It locks into place with little lugs. You have to turn the disc to undo the lugs and take the disc out. Hopefully this is beyond Obie's abilities! Thank you for the link, though; I have bookmarked it in case these homemade discs don't work out.

That is very clever of it locks into place with lugs . It seems unlikely he would chew through the wood but I would keep an eye on it.
