Just an update as I've not been around for a while. We were fortunate to get away for 2 whole weeks so Pete spent 17 days with his "Auntie Gilli " when we took him to stay he seemed to remember and was very excited wanting to come out and explore her lounge he wasn't upset by the change at all and likewise was equally happy when he came home it shows how adaptable they can be if used to different environments from an early age age as Pete has been. Tonight we took his playpen into the lounge as he was wanting to come out of his cage and he was active for 3 hours from 7.pm it was nice to have his company we kept taking him out for a cuddle during the t.v commercials then putting him back I think he enjoyed being with us all evening.

sounds like a lovely evening all together with cuddles too.
We found this with Ham. He’d stay at my mums when we went away. It’s around a 15 min drive and we would take his cage, playpen everything and likewise he’d be quite excitable when he arrived at hers and then when we collected him and he knew we were home. Mum always kept to the same routine and it didn’t appear to disturb his day to day activities at all.
Does Auntie Gilli visit your home frequently? I often wondered if Ham was so used to hearing my mums voice in our home that this also made the transition easy for us.

Hi Gilli dosent visit often but does come over more since we got Pete she met him and handled him from the first week we got him he seemed to know she was confident with him but Pete will let anyone hold him now nothing phases him he particularly like people who wear fleecy jumpersHi Jain, hope you’ve had a lovely holiday

Yes thank you it was lovely 2 weeks in the sun but still nice to come home even though it was rainingI hope you had a lovely holiday.
