Happy Birthday Raffy

This is Raffy's official birthday - he is approximately two years old I needed some extra things to put in his cage anyway so he got quite a few treats. It's been a busy time so I decided not to make him a cake but instead got him a Rosewood naturals coconut and raspberry "ice cream" cone. No sugar and has bits of raspberry and coconut stuck to it and contains herbs. The cone is just board with maize stuck to it.

I decided to give him his presents last night when he was out. He was not going to sit still for any photos, so I did a video instead

He really did enjoy checking things out, but quite quickly was more interested in how to get off the sofa so he could free roam. I've put all the presents in his cage now.

It is a great video, he really was having fun checking everything out & he seemed to be very keen on the raspberry cone thing, I’m sure he’s enjoying them in his cage now too.

He's asleep ha ha. I haven't checked if he used anything else last night. The round rodipet hay hide thing is the same as one he had before, which had to be binned. The hay tunnel I've used for other hamsters before. They are supposed to slot together but I used them separately so as not to mess up his current cage arrangement.

How lovely! He is putting everything to good use and enjoying the hamster cornet! The Rodipet tunnels and attached hide look excellent and he went straight into them, clearly a brilliant buy!

I'm wondering if I've done Raffy's birthday a bit early now ha ha. The difficult is not knowing how old he was when he came to me (23 April). I thought he was a baby as he was quite small but they said he definitely wasn't a baby and was just a small hamster. So I put him at about 3 months possibly, which would mean his birthday was 23 January! But maybe he was four months., Anyway this was his official birthday!
