Hamster sleeps on his back

I found my hamster laying in his back and I thought he was dead. I couldn't tell if he was breathing or not so, I tried to wake him up because I thought he was dead. Turns out Opi just sleeps on his back and sleeps very deep. Does anyone elses hamster do this?

They can sleep in some odd positions! Was this out in the open or in his nesting area? It must have been a scary moment for you.

It was in his nesting area. He's normally awake by the time I get home so I go to give him a few treats.
