Hamster sand baths

Hello everyone, I was just wondering if there was a certain amount of sand to put in alberts sand bath. I use reptisand for my hamster.

I suppose it depends on how big the sand bath is in a way and how deep it is and what shape it is but I'd say about an inch or more maybe. He's quite small so he'd need to be able to stand up in it without disappearing under it

My sand bath is about 9x5 inches.

He'll enjoy that I would try with an inch of sand and see how it goes.

They do like to dig & roll in it that’s quite a good size but I would go for a couple of inches or more deep.
