My hamster coco is shaking so much and she can hardly walk. I'm getting very worried about her because she is cold to the touch and is also kind of squishy? I don't know what to do, some websites say different things and I honestly just don't know what to do. I was going to clean her cage today and I noticed she was like this. She can hardly even walk. Thank you.

Really sorry to hear this. You'll need to try and get a vet appointment, but in the meantime, make sure the room is warm enough. If she has got too cold, then she could be going into torpor. But it might be something else and she doesn't sound well. Also try and give her some sugar water or runny honey on a teaspoon - if she'll take it - in case she has low blood sugar. I'm not sure what you mean by squishy. How old is she?

Hi, thank you for the suggestions. She seems to be doing better now, I think it was just because of the room temp. I also gave he some sugar water just in case though. By squishy I just meant like when I held her, her insides..(?) I guess felt, soft. I honestly don't really know what was going through my head when I wrote this, I was just worried and just wrote something as fast as I could. She is around 6-7 months old. I've scheduled her a vet appointment for tomorrow, so hopefully they can diagnose her. But thank you for the advice!

Really glad she came round a bit. I hope she's ok. Do let us know how you get on.
