And just seen this one too!

I thought he was just hungry ha ha. Best way to get the worm is eat the frog that ate the worm! Or try and get the worm out of it's mouth!

🤣 oops! I bet that hurt, daft things. I have a similar species as a pet and they have teeth. Pancake is definitely lazier though 😅

I'm not sure - they were different colours. I think he just went for the frog and they both jumped off sideways.

I sent this to my friend and she said they are both pacman frogs. She has a frog herself.

I'd love a real frog.
I have lots of frog nic nac around the house including a frog toilet seat.

One of my other passions is amphibians 😅 I currently have 4 salamanders, 2 dwarf axolotls, 2 tree frogs and a pacman frog. I've previously had loads of different species, they're fascinating little animals.
The ones in the video are frogs, the one on the left a pixie frog (giant African bullfrog) and the right a pacman species, probably a fantasy which is a hybrid species.
They make surprisingly great little pets!

Oh wow! That's a lot of pets -and they sound fascinating! I couldn't see a video or photo? Did you forget to link them? :)

Oh I meant the ones in the video shared in the original post, sorry should have specified 😅

This is my current pacman frog Pancake, and Jerome, one of my whites tree frogs.
Along with Jerome's brother Jeremiah they make quite the noise when it rains 😂 people forget to tell you how loud male frogs are when you're considering them as pets!

Oh my gosh, they are so cute! Haha I know what you mean by the noise. My friends frog chirps a lot and it is very loud.

I didn't know that you can get dwarf axolotls. I've never had any but find them fascinating little creatures.

Yes unfortunately the dwarfism causes them issues, one of my boys has prolapsed testicles as his dwarfism is so extreme there is no room for them in the usual place!

Unlike regular axolotls they have short squat bodies, often with crinkled tails. This is Casper and Darwin 🙂

Have they been bred on purpose that way? Seems unfair when it causes them physical abnormalities.

No thankfully, people usually discontinue a breeding pair if they produce them. It's best practice to only breed from animals whose lines are well known so they don't crop up, and pet owners who get 2 siblings and end up with accidental eggs are encouraged not to raise them into larvae as they're more likely to pop up with inbreeding. But unfortunately a lot of the time people are excited to raise the eggs, end up with hundreds of larvae they can't keep up with the care of and they end up in rescue or pet shops (where I got these 2 from)

I'd been thinking about getting an axolotl anyway, saw the special needs ones and being me, decided I'd rather offer a home to ones needing extra care. Luckily apart from having to make sure their water is extra clean and not overload their digestive system by over feeding, they don't need much more care.
