Just attaching this of a film-maker who filmed European hamsters in Austria for two weeks. He talks a bit first but if you want to skip that bit, the actual film starts at about 5 minutes 57. The talking bit at the end is worth watching as there are a few more nice shots in there where the hamsters come close to them and also where they put some food out for the hamsters :)

He also links the wild hamster conservation project in Germany.

Lovely, thank you for this, it's marvellous ❤🐹🐹 I loved the intro. Their tails are quite long compared tho Syrian hamsters. It's great that the old "fat" hamster has survived to old age. The hamsters are quite strongly coloured 😍

I missed the bit about an old fat hamster that survived to old age! Where was that bit? They clearly knew nothing about hamsters before filming.

He mentions it and says something about the hamster not having a big tummy / broad waistline 😄 Other observers told him that particular hamster had been there for a relatively long time. I had the subtitles on though, it is a bit to pick up. I will look for the time and let you know. I loved that he is so passionate about nature, and his pictures are beautiful.

Thank you, I'll watch again. It sounds like they have been talking to experts in the area.
