Just a thread about Fuzzbutts snooze cubes which I think are amazing out of cage accessories and can make a good taxi as well 
These are made by a lady who has been making these for a long time, primarily for rats, but there is a small "Homer" section for hamsters. They are particularly well made so safer than most fabric type hides and don't contain stuffing like some do (which could be dangerous). They are thick fleece (either both sides or just inside and cotton outside) and well stitched and no loose bits anywhere. The cloth tabs and rings are intended for them to hang by - I usually snip those off but latterly stopped bothering as they aren't really an issue when only used for out of cage time.
They come in a variety of colours and styles, sometimes seasonal ones - and she is very amenable to you choosing a particular fabric to have one made in, if it's not shown in that fabric (ie one of the fabrics from the rat items).
All my hamsters have had one (and they also go in the washing machine fine so some have been "inherited" from another hamster. Tino and Pickle both have one and they love diving into them in the playpen. It's also how I lift them out of the playpen while in it
However - there is a second "secret entrance" in a back seam (which they also love going in and out of), so if lifting them out you need to hold that one closed!
It can make a great "taxi" - they walk in it from the cage and it can be carried to a playpen area or sofa. For a taxi, I use a bulldog clip to hold the secret entrance closed, and have my hand over the front entrance - or hold it up against my stomach!
One of the best uses I've found for them is for vet visits. I put substrate in the pet carrier and the usual bit of food and cucumber, and then put the snooze cube (plus bulldog clip on the secret entrance) in the pet carrier. They invariably just go in the snooze cube and feel secure in there. Then at the vets it means you can just lift it out onto the vet table so the hamster doesn't have a hand chasing them round to get them out of the pet carrier or being lifted up in the air by an unfamiliar person.
And it also means they have somewhere to retreat to and feel secure while at the vets, after being examined. Then it can be lifted back into the pet carrier
A snooze cube is also traditionally the "prize" for the winning Christmas competition as well
They are a good size - plenty of room for a Syrian hamster and also good for smaller hamsters as well. My robos really loved theirs, and with my first robo, it was the only way to get him out of the cage without stressing him. Robos particularly seem to like the dark cosy space.
Chewing: This is why it is best if they are only used out of the cage rather than in it. Because even though they are extremely well made and no dangerous stuffing, they are still fabric and can still be chewed. When it's out of the cage you can keep an eye on that. Some hamsters don't chew them - some do like to have a go - their instinct if something is nice and soft, is to try and pouch it for nesting material Tino has never chewed his - Higgins has a go sometimes but not very much.

Blossom won one in the Christmas photo competition, but true to type, she DID just try to chew it lol 
When she was older, I did put it in her carrier for her to curl up in while I was cleaning her out, but actually, she started to just stay in her nest while I cleaned the whole of the rest of her cage out, so she didn’t use it then either. When she passed away, I passed all her things, including the snooze cube, onto a rodent rescue, so hopefully another hamster will be enjoying snuggling up in it.
