I bought this wheel on Amazon, as the first one i ordered was a complete disappointment. Originally i ordered a wooden one, it wobbled, felt flimsy and I realised it would be difficult to clean (my intuition seems to know he would pee in it 😅)
The Funsters wheel is very solid, it’s similar to the niteangels wheel. It’s adjustable in height and runs very smoothly. Nibbles loves it! He had a wooden one where I bought him, but it seemed that he didn’t really use it. So far I can recommend this wheel, it is far more affordable than the niteangel one, which would have cost 60 Euros. I paid 37 Euros, but I live in Germany so I am not sure what the price would be in the UK. BTW it’s easy to clean…. I have to clean it every day, cause there’s a lot of peeing going on in there 🙄

Thank you for that review - I'll move the post to the "Other Reviews" section if that's ok :-) So I take it it's a silent wheel. Does have a bar attachment at all or just a stand? Also what is the stand like? Thanks!

Thank you 🙏 I’ll be making you extra work, I’m terrible. I’ll hopefully get used to posting 😄

Is it this one? If so it does look very similar to the niteangel wheels. Quite expensive in the Uk it seems.

It has a stand with a wheel so you can adjust the height…I will look for a better foto

Yes that's the same one on my link. Do you mind if I ask how much it cost in Germany? Assume you have the 30cm one? On Uk Amazon it was about £65 for the 30cm one.

I just looked it up, i thought it was the 22 cm which cost 36 euros, but i ordered the 30cm and paid 44 euros, it was on discount. Originally the 30 cm ist 59 euros. I am up early this morning to spend a bit of time with Nibbles as last night he was just interested in his workout 😄 he is mad on this wheel and it seems the perfekt size for him. He’s got a vey sporty figure, although the do look sweeter when they are a wee but chubbier… but I guess it’s far healthier for them to be on the slimmer side.

He looks just right to me and I bet he's loving his wheel. I actually think the opposite with Syrians - that a little bit extra weight is a good insurance in case they are suddenly ill - they can lose weight rapidly. It's rare for a Syrian to be overweight really, they are so energetic.

I never thought of that. He does eat very good, I think he is slim. I hope he will gain weight. I had to promise to leave him to settle in for one week. After that I will try an weigh him. I am so cautious to do anything wrong. That’s why I sit near the cage in the evenings and let him get used to me.

It sounds like you're doing all the right things :-) I think when they're very young and go crazy for the wheel, they can burn up a lot of energy and can get a bit lean, which is why the right level of protein is so important in the first year, for their muscle growth and health. It tends to settle down once the novelty has worn off and then they only tend to run at night.

You mean he wouldn't eat hard boiled egg?!! That is unusual. You could try scrambled egg? It's warm. If not he's a no-egg hamster!

I am starting to think he’s obnoxious 😅 I spot cleaned the cage just before his waking up time. Apparently I was too noisy, he came marching out of the house (which is now excepted) like a real Karen! He stuffed his cheeks with the spread out food and marched straight back into bed. He marched straight next to my arm as I was cleaning the wheel, no sign of fear but with a right attitude 😂

He's not obnoxious :-) He's just letting you know it's his territory :-) One of mine used to give real black looks if I moved anything even 2mm. But he was lovely and snuggly out of the cage.

I know, I was only joking. They did tell me when I bought him that he has a strong character 😄
