Funny things your hamster does 😆

Chumley has a few! He's such a nutter.

1 - Comes out and STUFFS his pouches, but then cant fit back into the bedding hole door in his wooden house. Now, he dug the hole himself so don't feel sorry for him as he could very easily make it bigger but he literally has to then go in sideways and flat to get in haha makes us laugh!

2 - the 'i've been caught in the act' freeze - usually when he's biting at something he shouldn't or being pesky. Often with one paw outstretched in a comedy pose! See below for an example (he never usually bar climbs but randomly one eve we turn round and he was frozen like this )



3 - he has a bespoke sandbox with wooden edges which he jumps in then gets out of by heaving himself up by two front paws onto a small hide next to it, scrabbling manically then dragging himself across onto his tube. Completely refusing to use the custom build stairs in and out I had built for him that he literally could walk out of the sandbath from....

4 - sometimes when he's in his wooden house and left his door hole unburied I'll talk to him, then two secs later him comes back up from his burrow and blocks up the hole haha like literally go away and leave me alone



He's so funny and grumpy and cute and we love him

And when you see that last photo, your hear melts! They really are funny and adorable aren't they?! Such personalities - and Chumley sounds like a real character ha ha.

Higgins is funny because he "darts" - he doesn't walk slowly or quickly - he's either still or sprinting like lightning - a kind of stop start darting. And because he sometimes behaves like a dog! Like that video where he's having a fight with my dressing gown belt

Tino is quite slow really but the looks he can give and the faces he can pull. As Socks Mum described it the other day - he gives a very good "hard stare" - usually if I let Higgins out in the playpen.
