Pete isn't keen on the Science Selective although if I break it up he will eat a bit occasionally I bought Mr Johnsons advance he won't even try that thinking he may prefer it, he went off Little One so I bought Harry Hamster Little Friends it's more waste he picks out the pumpkin seeds, corn and tiny amounts of it I've now gone back to what he had originally when I first got him Versele large but haven't started on it yet he did eat the very expensive stuff I bought on line ( forgot the name n decanted it) but was very picky with it he is very active and a certainly not skinny he get chicken, beef, cheese raw peas walnut the list is endless which he always gobbles up but it would be so nice to find a prepared food which he would really enjoy. Sorry for long post it's pure frustration

Oh Pete is causing you headaches :ROFLMAO: By being faddy. Did you try the Bunny Dwarf Dream expert? That's what I've always used (with Robos) and they've all loved it. It actually smells nice to me as well! And has mealworms in. You can only get it online though - from Vetsend - and it's about £10 a packet, but it might be worth it if he likes it and a packet lasts quite a long time. I get the Syrian version at the moment and get two packets at a time to save on postage. I think it's sold on ebay as well but I prefer getting it from Vetsend.

The other option which is good is the Rodipet dwarf hybrid mix. I was using that for Molly and she pouched the lot every day. It's tailored to help prevent diabetes as well apparently - hence being a dwarf hybrid mix. However, that can work out expensive as Rodipet's postage isn't cheap. The food itself is slightly less expensive than the Bunny Dream from Vetsend but the postage can be about £8. Hence again it's best to order 2 or 3 at the same time, if getting this one, because the postage is the same whether you get one item or three. It is organic though.

Thank you for that it looks like I'm going to have to try yet another brand hopefully one that Pete approves of

It's annoying you can't get them without ordering online. But you say he likes the Versele Laga?

Well he did have that at first as it was what his breeder had been giving him but he did tend to pick bits out and leave a lot so the wastage was quite high and I worried he may not be having a good balance from it I'm going to try him with it again as I can buy it from a pet n garden centre 35 minutes away I really try not to buy online but sometimes needs must he seems fit enough bright eyed and good coat but I get frustrated trying to get the right mix he will eat all of probably dosent exist 😀

Hi Jain,

When Zelda went off her feed for a few days (she is fine, now) I got her to eat by soaking her pellets in water with either a canned pumpkin or whizzed baby food thinned down to a slurry consitency. She ate more pellets than ever. You might try coating or soaking the foods you have to save some $$

I have the Friends farm too but yes again, he’s picking at it. Gonna try a more high quality brand as well. Hope you manage to find a good one for Pete.
