That’s lovely, I have lots of these & they’re one of my favourites.
I’d probably get blown away if I tried to take any photos of flowers today but if the weather settles I’ll see what I can find.

I do like spikey plants like yucca so i'm looking forward to see what this flower is going to look like.

They are orange and some are yellow.

I did not know it was possible for poppies to be orange and yellow.

What’s a weed anyway, just something you don’t want!
They look like welsh poppies, most are yellow but occasionally they can be orange, one of my favourite flowers, I have lots but no orange ones.

I’m not that expert on identification either. The first photo might be bluebells or harebells. The second one looks like some kind of shrub but I have no idea what it is. The last two look like different types of clematis maybe. Do the kind of twine around things?
Many wildflowers and herbs are technically weeds but that doesn’t mean they aren’t wildflowers or herbs and they are nice! I think of weeds as rampant things that kill other plants - like ground elder (there is some here at the back and it chokes other plants and almost impossible to get rid of). Although technically that is a herb too and edible! And chickweed which spreads everywhere - but is also a herb and is very good for eczema!
I think poppies can come in various colours if they are ornamental poppies which have been bred specifically - the seeds could have just blown in from another garden maybe.

Once upon a time this was a willow but it died i think so i chopped it.
I left it in because i like its gnarled look and the birds use it as a stopover from bird feeder to big tree.

That was a yucca which died over the winter. It's done that before and i nearly chucked it out but OH advised to leave it in and it grew again.
The weather is all mixed up here in the South and i miss the lovely temperate English climate with plenty of rain, no snow and no fierce sun. Never cold and never hot. All gone, sadly. I'm dreading the summer.
I think the frost last winter killed the yucca and the NZ grass.
