I would love Davy to be able to run round the house. But we have a dog and a cat! He has his own room though.

wow! How big is their free roam area in your house?

I use the upstairs hamster/guest room - landing - bathroom as a freeroaming area with a hall hamster playground in the evening. The hamster room has floor toys and the dig box permanently set up. Lilly is in there now.

I have a devider i can put up to keep a hamster in the room or have two out at the same time. The stairs have a slot in barrier.

Downstairs the lounge and hall are safe and the kitchen as long as i tuck blankets around the fridge and dishwasher.

The hamsters who live here can get a proper run around which they love.

Eric came running to me last night when i called him which was very sweet.
I can feel a very strong bond developing here.

He’s pretty speedy going up there with a couple of stop offs to explore! He makes it look very easy.

Upstairs they have the hamster room, hall and bathroom where they normally freeroam.
Downstairs lounge, hall and kitchen (with blankets around dishwasher and fridge) i hamster proofed when i needed a separate free roaming area for Rodney.
It depends on the hamster though.
The Robos only get to use the hall/bathroom playground where i can catch them easily.
The dwarfs have the hamster room/hall/bathroom.
A Syrian can have the whole space sometimes. They are not as fast and love to climb and explore the most.
